Details
Arnold wanted to give their employee’s the opportunity to ask questions. Anything from can we get cold brew in the office to what does losing a Client mean for the agency. The issue, employees were too shy to ask questions in front of an all-agency forum. The solution, build a site where they could ask anonymously, a newer aged approach to a suggestion box of sorts.
Responsibilities
- Coordinated with agency stakeholders and the UX/UI designer to align on requirements
- Pushed designs through creative and other agency approvals
- Developed the site
- Worked with the tech director to host and create a deployment script for the site
- Worked with IT to lock the site down so that it could only be used internally
- Soft launched the site to a small initial group to QA test and gather initial content
Build Details
- Created most of the front end using SCSS, jQuery, and Gulp
- Separated and anchor linked the 2 main sections (Ask & Answer) using fullPage
- Laid out and filtered the grid of answers with Isotope
- Changed the header logo based on scroll position
- Built a custom theme using WordPress
- Extended WP’s search to include custom fields based on this article
- Created draft posts on the back end when users submitted questions using Gravity Forms
- Populated ACF fields with question values, which made it easy for admins to answer questions
- Pushed local updates to production via Dandelion
